Pursuing 1st training week of E+ BERC project

Consecutively, activities of the training week in the field of scientific publication and networking for developing administrative and economic researches centers at institutions of high education “BERC”, continued at the Islamic University of Gaza. It was attended by representatives from universities in Gaza in coincidence with the Royal Institute for Technology- KTH via Skype. The second and third meeting included variety of topics in the field of networking and publication of economic and administrative research.


The second day mainly shed light on strategic planning for universities, that was delivered by Dr. Elissa Berlanga, from the Royal Institute of Technology KTH- Sweden. Basically, this meeting talked about the classification of universities in terms of scientific research and teaching standards, that was introduced by Dr. Ber- Anders Austlng. In addition, Dr. Carl Kastav Jansson introduced a presentation about distance teaching of master degree. The last topic was about research methodology and was introduced by Dr. Oleksi Basikana.


With respect to the third day of the training week, topics of discussion centered on scientific publishing generally and research groups and publication specifically, that was presented by Dr. Cali Noor. Dr.Victor Kordas talked about necessary funding to support research projects at the Royal Institute of Technology KTH. The last topic in the third day was on business networking also presented by Dr. Victor Kordas.


It is expected that activities will continue until Thursday, the twenty-fourth of November in which the third administrative meeting for the project will be held in the presence of representatives of all the Palestinian and European universities, and completion of training discussing topics concerning: research platforms at the Royal Institute of Technology KTH along with issues concerning infrastructure to support scientific research activities at the Royal Institute of Technology KTH. The training week will be concluded by a presentation regarding linking with the Royal Institute of Technology KTH and business.
