A research team from Chemistry Department, Faculty of Science at IUG won a donation by TWAS aiming at making a scientific research about organic chemistry and its medical applications. The fund will cover two scholarships for the students to get master degree in in organic chemistry.
The research project that won is about preparing a new group of Organic ringed heterogeneous compounds containing Pyridine and Tetrazine and studying their biological activeness and ability to resist cancer diseases.
The research team includes, Prof. Adel Awad Allah, Dr. Rami Morjan, Dr. Hani Ferwanah, Dr. Mazen Azzaharnah and Dr. Ehab Al- Masri.
It is worth to say that TWAS provides many research and scientific donations on different natural sciences, and researchers and experts of developing countries including Palestine compete for this donation.
